Why I work safely

Why I work safely

Why I work safely, why do you work safely, and why is it important to work safely? Of course, we have the right to work safely. I have two arms, two legs, two feet, ten toes and ten fingers. I also have two eyes. All these things are in good condition and I want to keep them that way. We are the ones who must protect the treasures that nature gave us. They are ours, they allow us to earn more and feel happy daily. The question is solved, Why I work safely.

Why I work safely

Why I work safely, why do you work safely?

When a person is missing a part of the body or cannot use it correctly, we say they have an impairment or are disabled. Do you know what an impediment definition is? We will define impediments in today's toolbox meeting. In life, the impediment means fewer fingers, limping, being blind or deaf, in short, having an obstacle to carrying out daily work. Many people perform well at work despite having a disability. But, there is no doubt that these people have to work much harder than others to achieve the same performance.

In the modern work environment, there is nothing that necessarily has to produce injury accidents that result in lifelong disabilities. But, in all jobs, without exception, accidents with disabling injuries can occur.

Any moving machinery can injure a person who does not use it correctly. Whoever tries to oil, clean, adjust or repair a machine in motion, unnecessarily risks being left maimed or with a useless hand for the rest of his life.

When handling any heavy object you risk back injury unless you lift with your legs and not your back. And if the load is too heavy, unless he gets someone to help, you will suffer injuries that however much you later regret will not help you earn a living. Heavy
loads can bruise feet unless they are handled properly and feet are protected by wearing appropriate shoes for the job.
Most minor wounds can become infected unless attended to by trained company

personnel immediately. When an infection occurs, doctors are sometimes forced to amputate the affected limb, scarring the patient for life.

Why I work safely

The eyes are one of the most delicate parts of the body. A tiny speck of metal or emery can permanently damage them. The same goes for acids and chemicals. That is why in
certain
operations it is essential to wear protective glasses—to prevent that sight disability that is blindness. (Eye protection safety)

But many more injuries result in disabilities at home, at work, or in sports —falls, burns, etc. The fact is that they happen all the time, producing a certain number of disabilities every year.

If you want to avoid disabilities due to these causes, be careful with things that can catch fire or explode and be aware of the traffic on the street and watch carefully where you put your foot when walking.

Think safety work safely

 Why I work safely

A worker who can be trusted to approach every situation cautiously is very valuable to the company. A few years ago, a tragic accident occurred in the yard of a steel factory. A worker whose occupation was sweeping the floors died as a result of a hit-and-run accident. Everyone in the plant knew him and liked him very much.

One day he was cleaning a platform along a track. Unluckily hit the bent body of the poor street sweeper. The man was materially crushed and died instantly.

The truck operator did not use good judgment. He couldn't see clearly the housekeeper. He assumed there was no one there. By using poor judgment and caution he created for himself a tragedy that he will be unable to forget for the rest of his life.

It would not be difficult for us to list several things that the operator should have done.
It is almost
certain that since he was a child he had heard the old adage that says "Always look before acting".

Why I work safely

There are too many people acting crazy. And it's not until they find out that their carelessness has cost them, and others, a heavy price that they realize the meaning of the old adage "always look before you act".

If only we could all remember never to drop a heavy object before making sure it's not going to land on someone's feet, that we're never going to touch a piece of metal until we're sure it's not hot, and that we're never going to use a grinder before making sure that there are no people in the vicinity, we would greatly reduce the number of injuries and deaths.

More than or less, we have all acted at some time in our lives without taking into account the consequences of the reckless action that we are going to carry out. But most of us have gotten into the habit, of not looking before acting.

Always look before you act

 Why I work safely

This, seen coldly, may seem like a fun game. But if we take a close look at any of those
games, it's easy to see the tragic consequences that can result when you lose at that
game.

Speaking of games, a case that I read years ago in a magazine has come to mind. "Abdul" I remember the article said, "was a man who liked to play with his luck. He went through life without thinking about what he was going to do the next moment.

Why I work safely

Despite having had some unpleasant experiences, he had reached his forty years without having suffered any tragic mishap. But one day luck took him out of hand. As they always had done, he left his garage in the morning without carefully looking back.

Why I work safely

Suddenly he heard a terrible groan. He jumped and rushed out of his car and had to witness the scene of his only son, three years old, crushed under the wheels of his car. Abdul is now sixty years old and always looks twice before acting. But do we need to have such an experience for us to learn the lesson once and for all?
. . .

Conclusion

Why I work safely

In closing, I want to remind you again of that old adage that I have already mentioned twice. I would like you to engrave it deeply in your minds and bring it to mind
whenever you go to take action. In deference to your family, your co-workers, your
companies and yourselves, "Always look before you act”
